Bruno Castillo

Biography

I’m an English-Spanish translator based in Chile, with a degree from the University of La Serena. Over the course of my studies and practice, I’ve worked with a wide range of texts, but I’ve mainly focused on technical, literary, and more recently, historical content.

History has always been close to my heart. It was actually one of my favorite subjects in high school, and I even received a recognition for being the top humanities student in my class — something I truly didn’t expect at the time!

Working as a translator has shown me just how powerful words can be — a small misinterpretation can shift the meaning of a whole text. I find it rewarding to help others access content that might not be available in their language. That’s one of the reasons I love what I do.
